Judging from the amount of outraged disc priests across several different forums, I don't think this change will be implemented, or if it IS implemented, it will either be reverted or significantly reduced/altered to be reasonable.

Honestly, a 33% gold wow  increase to mana cost almost feels like we're being trolled. Such a large nerf for a problem that has so many vastly superior and far more elegant solutions. I have to wonder how much time was spent discussing the possible changes before this was the conclusion the devs came to.
